Let’s talk about Home

Welcome to my home! Well, as close as we can get to my home through the internet! Over the last 3 years, I have learned so much about creating a functional, cozy space for my family. I’ve learned how to build things and use tools I never thought I would use in order to have the home I want.

My husband and I have flipped one home at this point and are right in the middle of our second one, with plans to fix up a third pretty soon. Needless to say, there is always some sort of project going on over here. I’m going to share everything that I’ve learned and all the projects here so together we can all create our perfect homes.

What makes a space feel like home to you may not be the same thing as your friend or neighbor, and that’s okay! To me, a space feels like home when it is cozy and welcoming. That may mean a candle burning, the fireplace on, or a soft throw blanket over the couch. It’s that feeling deep down when you just know you are safe and happy. That’s the feeling I want every time I step into my space. So, let’s make it happen.

6th St Kitchen View
Designing this kitchen for space and functionality was quite the feat. Cabinets were removed and walls were rearranged in order to create and open space from kitchen to dining.
